Studio News

  Students have been preparing very sincerely for Theory Exam, Skills Day and many other events during the past month. I am so thankful for such a wonderful group of students and parents, I am truly fortunate to have you all in my studio. Thank you!

   Several students participated in the WMTA held event, Modern Piano Music Competition. Selections had to be written by composers born after 1905. Many interesting pieces were performed by students from VA, MD and Washington DC. After competition, I was asked if we could include several selections in future repertoire because students enjoyed hearing them so much. It is always exciting to discover a composition and wish to learn it after hearing at the event. Results were outstanding:

Grades K-3:
Cameron-2nd place

Grades 4-6:
Nicole-1st place
Jacqui-3rd place

Students showed outstanding music sight-reading skills at the Skills Day Exam;
 Superior- Cameron, Teddy, Nicole, Jacqui, Kevin, Raelyn, Sophia W.

 Realyn and Kayleigh are winners of Golden Key Competition, performance category. Both sisters will travel to Austria this summer. Congratulations!
