Young Artist Musicale at GMU

 

Young Artist Musicale at GMU was well represented from our studio. Cameron Wang, Sophia Wang and Kevin Shen have been selected as young artists to perform on the program. Young Artists Musicales are presented in conjunction with Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations performances at George Mason University Center for

the Arts.    

Young Musical Stars

Ly-Ly Ouy had the most inspiring experience as a pianist selected to perform at the Young Musical Stars Showcase. This event was a co-presentation by the Bulgarian Embassy and the American Masters Music Awards Competition. Family and friends enjoyed hearing some of the most talented young musicians in the Washington DC area who are prizewinners of international, national and regional music competitions. Congratulations to Ly-Ly!

MSMTA Piano Duet Competition

 

What a colorful day at MSMTA Spring Piano Duet Competition! In addition to shiny ribbons of different colors, students looked very festive and performed beautifully. It was a sunny day filled with double the fun!

NVMTA Bach Baroque Festival

 NVMTA Bach Baroque Festival/Competition had a strong presentation from our studio. Thank you for working hard and preparing Baroque repertoire. Pianists were required to perform two selections, one by J.S. Bach and second selection by another Baroque composer. Please see the results!

Jasmine Mao at Carnegie Hall

 

Jasmine Jingyi Mao had the most magical experience in NY! She is a winner of the Crescendo International Competition and was invited to participated at the Honors Concert at the Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall in New York. Jasmine performed Prelude in g minor, op.23 #5 by S. Rachmaninov. Congratulations to Jasmine!

Bland Competitions, 2026

 

Congratulations to Kevin Shen and Ly-Ly Ouy on their performances at the Bland Competition. Kevin is the first place winner and received a $200 cash award. He is advancing to next round, District Competition, on March 28 in Alexandria, VA. Kevin performed F. Liszt, Paraphrase on Verdi's Rigoletto. Ly-Ly received Honorable Mention and $100 award. Congratulations to both students!
